In Antigua and Barbuda, opposition leader and head of the Antigua Labour Party Lester Bird has won his defamation case against Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer and Crusader Publications.
In Antigua and Barbuda, opposition leader and head of the Antigua Labour Party Lester Bird has won his defamation case against Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer and Crusader Publications.
High Court judge Justice Jennifer Remy handed down her decision yesterday, and awarded Mr Bird damages in the sum of $75,000 EC dollars.
Mr Bird sued Mr Spencer and the Crusader radio station for defamatory comments made at a United Progressive Party public rally in 2008.
